Do you like Far Cry? Are you interested in buying the third instalment when it comes out later this year? Have you got a console?
If you’ve answered yes to all the above, do you want to play the Far Cry 3 multiplayer beta this summer?
Ubisoft announced the closed beta on Facebook, and if you ‘like’ the event page you might get opportunity to take part. So what does the beta offer?
Well there will be six available classes and matches can have up to sixteen players. You’ll get the chance to try out a variety of maps and modes, with gameplay focussed around working as a team. There are special skills for each class and plenty of upgrades and customizations to mess around with. In addition your character can show off their abilities with actions such as combat sliding and, as shown in the above picture, zip-lining.
Unfortunately PC gamers won’t be able to get involved in the action, but if you do have an Xbox 360 or Playstation 3 then you can have a crack at Far Cry 3 for the two weeks it’s running.
At the moment Ubisoft are only offering 500 keys but the developers have said there should be more passes available before the beta starts. This isn’t the only way you can get involved however, as US gamers can guarantee their participation by pre ordering Ghost Recon: Future Soldier from Gamestop before next Tuesday (22nd May). So get moving if you want to be included.
If you want to take your chance through Facebook, here’s the link. And until you get your Far Cry 3 beta code (fingers crossed) or the full game in September (released the 4th in the US, 6th in Europe), enjoy this gameplay trailer from last year’s E3.
We’ll bring you more news on Far Cry 3 soon.
